This converter is built for use with the SPD 37 spline soild input shaft ONLY.  It includes the needed SPD turbine hub, impeller hub, and inner sprag race.  New billet front cover, new billet lock-up piston and three times the friction area over stock make this one of the toughest converters available. All internals are reinforced with tig welding or furnace brazing and supported by torrington bearings for reduced friction. This converter is competition ready with stall speeds tailored to your specific applications.

Stall Options – (approximate stall speeds based on stock trucks)

  • 33I –  (1600 rpm) very low stall, works well on stock trucks with tune, up to a small set of twins. Recommended for towing applications.
  • 3TS – (1700 rpm) low stall, works well on stock trucks with tune, modified stock based turbos, up to small 300 charger. Recommended for towing applications.
  • 3FP – (1800 rpm) low stall, works well up to 83 turbine s400 charger, allows for more drivability while still maintaining efficiency. Recommended for towing and hot street applications. (one of our most popular models)
  • 3000 – (2100 rpm) stock stall, works well with most trucks, drives like OEM converter
  • 3000/19 – (2200 rpm) roughly 150 rpm over stock stall, great choice for those who want something a little looser than stock.
  • 3000/250 – (2400 rpm) high stall, roughly 250 rpm over stock flash point, works well with bigger turbo setups, especially large singles.
